Around town

Steps from campus you’ll find historic downtown LaGrange, a charming hub of shops, restaurants, parks, brick sidewalks and a 10-screen theater. And winding through much of our city is "The Thread," a 12-foot wide walking/biking/running path connecting the college with urban, suburban and tree canopied parks.

There’s 26,000-acre West Point Lake for swimming, kayaking, boating and hanging out, and live music and performances can be enjoyed in small venues around town or at the 2,000-seat Sweetland Ampitheatre.

For the latest events and attractions around town, check out Visit LaGrange Georgia.

Day trips

LaGrange is well positioned for day trips and weekend road trips. Atlanta is just one hour away from campus and offers access to a broad variety of art, music, sports restaurants and culture. This proximity makes internships and job opportunities excellent for LaGrange students. But it’s not just the big Peach that’s within reach. You’ll find Gulf Coast beaches and the Smoky Mountains just a few hours away.
